A Honoring an Enduring Legacy: The Unity Statue

Uniting with a purpose, our congregation comes together to form an enduring symbol of harmony and fellowship. The Unity Statue is a monument to the Finley Scott Curlee Family, which has been stewards of this land since the 1920s.

Adorned atop the Tree of Life pedestal, the symbol of the Unitarian Universalist Association serves as an unbreakable reminder of our shared beliefs and objectives, "To embody Truth, Love, and Justice in the world." The roots of the tree of life represent the unity and connection between our congregation. The heartwood is where the tree's origins are connected to the ground. This is where our gathering takes place every week, joining us in an intentional community.

The leaves represent all of our experiences, successes and failures, joys and sorrows, hopes and fears-but they also remind us that we are united in purpose. Our leaves grow yearly to remind us that we can never be too far from love and grace. Make sure to stop by to view the statue or walk our labyrinth.
